On Dec 13, 2022 Meadow Ridge Rotary received more support towards the local Starfish Program. A total of $8,450 was personally delivered during the weekly Rotary Club meeting.

$1,100 by The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 622; presented by Neerje “Nina” Harvey, president of CUPE Local 622 and Anji Rutquist, recording secretary of Local 622.
$1,150 by The City of Maple Ridge; presented by Chris Gomez, and Cynthia Ulrich.
$1,200 by The City of Pitt Meadows: presented by Monica Lang.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 622, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Municipal Workers Union, represents approximately 500 CUPE members, working in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, who fix our roads, provide emergency care, test drinking water, connect us with library resources, run ice rinks, lead community workshops, and much more. Dominion Lending Centres - EAP Primex Mortgages Inc donated $2,000 towards our Starfish Program from their 2022 annual Christmas fundraising drive. EAP Primex Mortgages Inc is a Pitt Meadows company.
Presenting the cheque were mortgage brokers Trish Pigott (owner of the franchise), and Tamra Anderson (manager of underwriting). Trish has been in the mortgage industry since 2004 and is in the top 2% of all brokers across Canada. Tamra is a licensed mortgage broker and has been with Primex for over five years.



Presenting a $3,000 cheque from the Ron and Alma Jones Family Foundation was Sonya Jones (wife of Scott Jones, the general manager of West Coast Toyota and West Coast Mazda) and Michelle Jones-Ruppel (general manager of West Coast Ford Lincoln and West Coast Nissan).
The Jones family has been a big part of the Founders Cup Charity Foundation which has donated to many charities over the past 25 years. The Jones family has continued this charitable giving by the formation of the Ron and Alma Elma Jones Family Foundation.
Said Sonya, “We are so pleased to present this $3,000 donation to the Starfish Pack Program which is near and dear to our hearts as it impacts children in our community.”
